Continuum Support Services was incorporated on 3 May 2013. The initial services started with a focus on young people with mental health needs and high-risk challenging behaviours. We took forward our expertise in mental health support and as we grew in experience and reputation, the business quickly expanded into Ofsted Homes and bespoke services for young people whose needs required single occupancy accommodation and specialist services.
As a Provider we pride ourselves on our resilience, creativity and holistic approach to service delivery. Unlike other providers, our services keep the client at the centre of all we do, we are flexible and spontaneous to needs, moving our clients within bespoke programmes of care and support, reviewing and revising as required and necessary so that we move in a style and at a pace in keeping with identified needs. All our staff are suitably qualified with access to continuous training and professional development programmes that reflect the needs of our clients and the growing demands of a service that keeps evolving.
In keeping with the demands of the current market and prediction of future needs, we are expanding our regulated services across both Ofsted and CQC provisions. We recognise the demand for placements for children and young people with challenging behaviours, complex needs and learning difficulties, has outstripped the providers market. The focus for such children must be quality of provision by a provider who can assess needs, provide resources and deliver services that meet needs and can evidence progress. We are currently developing a Clinical Services Team who will assist in the delivery of holistic and alternative therapies. We will deliver clinically led crisis intervention programmes to address trauma, attachment disorder, emergent personality disorders and mental health wellbeing.
Moving forward other bespoke programmes offered will include working with young people considered high risk complex who have been diagnosed as having, for example, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Harmful Sexualised Behaviours (HSB). Other personality disorders that can be supported include schizoid, narcissistic, bipolar and emergent personality disorder. Specialist services will have intense supervision and rigorous training programmes monitored and supported through a process of clinical governance and practice overview from our therapists.
